About

- Bioinformaticist, educated at the University of Chicago, with a wide range of clinical experience in large urban hospital settings, now currently running a small software design studio.  

- Experienced EMR admin, with real-world experience managing Cerner, Epic, Centricity, Merge, MaxiFile/MUMPS, and others.

- Experienced with all major medical imaging modalities currently in use within clinical Radiology settings and their associated imaging workflow pipelines.  Also experienced with image processing techniques used in clinical research (both pharmaceutical and medical-device).  

- Expert database administrator, specializing in Oracle clusters, MUMPS, and MongoDB databases used in medical libraries, electronic medical records, radiology departments, and healthcare data warehouses.

- Career programmer, fluent in full-stack Javascript/Node.js web application development.  Experienced with kanban boards, version control systems, test driven development, use case development, debugging and profiling, and other aspects of agile software development.

- Research experience includes end-to-end biomarker & pharmaceutical research, data modeling, and data visualization pipelines -  from x-ray crystallography to virtualized rendering farms and animation software.

- Fabrication and production experience includes synthetic organ and surgical workflows, including radiologic scanning, anatomical CAD, synthetic organ fabrication (3D printing, vacuum form molding, laser etching, bioincubators, etc), surgical planning, and surgical operating procedures.  

- Also experienced with pharmaceutical production pipelines, including genetics research, biomarker development, genomic panel development, pharmacogenomics, and six-sigma quality improvement processes.
