● Ph.D with 10 years experience in small RNA Biology. ● Patent (US20100029501) filed for transcriptome-wide screen to identify microRNA targets. ● Validated approximately 100 miRNA targets involved in cardiac conduction and cardiac hypertrophy. ● Utilized human stem cell cardiac differentiation to expand repertoire of genes involved in cardiac conduction ● Identified small RNAs only detected in cancer cell lines with unique biogenesis pathway providing a novel therapeutic point of biomarker-therapeutic convergence. ● Generated cancer-specific small RNA interactome impinging on oncogenic chromatin modifications, DNA repair, development of resistance and immunosuppression/evasion ● Identified small RNA-protein interactions with therapeutic implications for cancer, diabetes, fibrosis, erythropoiesis, imprinting and myogenic homeostasis. ● My research revolves around the motto of "Bench to Bedside". I would like to translate my pre-clinical innovations to small RNA based therapies.
