Jason Kart, PT, DPT, CMPT

Dr. Jason Kart received a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Syracuse University and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. Following board certification, Jason completed his residency at Harvard University's Sports Medicine Department working primarily with the football, baseball, cross country, track, and swimming and diving teams. At the conclusion of the spring season, Jason moved into general outpatient orthopedics at Rehabilitation Specialist, PC in Quincy, MA. Relocating to the Chicago in 2008, Jason has worked as Clinical Education and staff physical therapist for AthletiCo (Skokie, IL) until 2009. Jason then created and ran the physical therapy department for Physician's of the North Shore (Skokie, IL) until May 2011. Jason managed Accelerated Rehabilitation's Mount Prospect clinic and industrial rehabilitation center, as well as a new clinic with the American Center for Spine and Neurosurgery in Libertyville, IL. During this time, Jason started his pursuit of the Certified Manual Physical Therapist designation from the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Jason is excited to start Core Physical Therapy in the West Loop and take rehabilitation to the next level.

Jason credits his start in physical therapy to the great therapists he worked under during college. As he puts it, "I was fascinated by connection the PT made between a patient's pathology and the underlying mechanisms that exacerbated their symptoms. When combined with a scientific approach, I saw how effective a physical agent of change could be in providing relief and maximizing function.
