Joe Welfeld

Joe is a healthcare executive with extensive experience working with hospitals, managed care organizations, physician groups, and technology vendors. He has broad management and consulting experience on both the strategic and operational levels in Managed Care and Payor contracting activities as well as alternate reimbursement and Value-based models such as Accountable Care (ACO), Patient-Centered Medical Homes (PCMH) and Episodes of Care/Bundling. He sits on the Advisory Boards of a number of healthcare startups. He provides strategic and market positioning advice and counsels senior executives on approaches to the marketplace. Joe works directly with "C" level executive at health system clients and physician practices helping to develop physician alignment, provider network, integrated delivery systems and consumer engagement strategies as well as regional approaches to technology deployment, including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Health Information Exchanges (HIE) implementation.

Joe also functions as an educator, executive coach and mentor to students and healthcare executives. He is an experienced educator at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
