I am currently a Postdoc, at the University of Notre Dame. Broadly my research is focused on the field of health informatics, where I explore the ways in which data mining, machine learning, and statistical techniques can aid practitioners and researchers in understanding the extensive set of health and wellness data now digitally available. rnrnI have a particular interest in neonatal and pediatric research, specifically with regard to data collected within intensive care settings. Due to the critical nature of children and infants admitted to such units this information often represents a highly complex, heterogeneous set of clinical and operational data, I am deeply interested in the potential of informatics to offer insight into the practices surrounding patient conditions and outcomes
