My background is not one that is uncommon. I'm from a small, medically underserved town that has limited opportunities for students interested in healthcare. When I started college, I had no one to guide me in my decisions but I had dreams of going to medical school. When it finally came time to apply, I was over-worked and underprepared. My mission through LFHL is to make sure that every student, especially those from low-income backgrounds has a fair shot at getting into the healthcare field of their choice. My educational journey lead me to getting my master's in healthcare administration and I am now pursuing a doctorate in pharmacy.
