Dr Nicole E. Williams is the founder and Medical Director of the Gynecology Institute of Chicago, Ltd., specializing in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery She has been active in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), she was appointed to a national position on the International Affairs Committee. Dedicated to the welfare of women, Dr. Williams has traveled to the Dominican Republic, Rwanda, Haiti, Cambodia, The Phillippines, Mexico, and Ghana to perform necessary gynecologic surgery.  For 3 years, Dr. Williams held a position as teaching faculty at Mercy Hospital and Clinical Instructor with the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. She served as chairman of the DaVinci Minimally Invasive Surgery Committee. In 2014, she became only the second physician in the state of Illinois to be certified in the Acessa procedure for fibroids. In addition, she received additional Minimally Invasive training under a world renowned Chicago Urogynecologist and has adopted non-mesh techniques for pelvic organ prolapse. Her clinical interests include heavy menstrual periods, fibroids, female sexual dysfunction, menopause and Bioidentical hormone therapy, female incontinence, and overactive bladder treatment. In addition, she is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). Dr. Williams is also a member of Mensa, the international high I.Q. society. Dr. Williams has been featured on WBEZ, V-103, CBS, WGN, and FOX Chicago as an expert on women's health.
