I recently earned my Masters in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University, and previously received a BS in Bioengineering from Santa Clara University with minors in Mathematics and Biology. I have broad interests in the biomedical engineering and healthcare areas, with the common foundation that I want to create impactful solutions that solve real needs.
At Columbia I was involved in cellular reprogramming research in the Nanotherapeutics and Stem Cell Engineering Lab at Columbia, and developed skills in the areas of cell-based therapeutics, regenerative medicine, and biopharmaceutical development. In addition to my experience in biotechnology research, I am also passionate about global health and engineering innovations that benefit vulnerable populations. I am co-founder of an early stage global health tech startup, Neopenda, where my team and I are developing and implementing a low cost, high impact neonatal vital signs monitor for hospitals in Uganda and other resource-constrained settings.
