If you receive a qualifying benefit of grants for British gas new boilers and your boiler is 10 years or older, you may be eligible for grant assistance for a brand new A-rated boiler as part of the UK government's Energy Company Obligation (ECO). Grants for Gas Boilers are available. The British gas new boiler initiative was introduced in January 2013 with the goal of reducing energy consumption in the UK and providing subsidies to low-income households to help them improve their home's energy efficiency. The scheme is part of the Energy Company Duty (ECO) and the Electricity and Gas Order, which were both authorised by parliament in 2012 and will run until 2022. It is primarily funded by the UK's largest utility .
