CAARESYS is the developer of a low-cost, high-performance noncontact passenger-safety system utilizing a radar technology solution based on vital sign monitoring. The system operates in both static and driving modes and is designed to provide a robust solution for saving lives. The CAARESYS system consists of three main technological solutions: BABYCAARE, a child detection solution designed to prevent children from being forgotten in hot cars; CABINCAARE, an occupancy monitoring system that determines the number of passengers and their locations in the vehicle; and VITALCAARE, a vital sign monitoring system that monitors each rider's heart rate, respiration rate, and heart rate variability in order to detect conditions such as drowsiness, fatigue, medical problems, etc. CAARESYS sensors emit RF waves that report to the system, where the platform interprets the riders' condition by analyzing the collected data against logs in the cloud. If a dangerous situation is detected, a warning is sent to a paired mobile device or the car alarm is activated.
