Newbase (뉴베이스) is a startup that tries to solve the medical education gap and patient safety problem based on AR/VR technology. Newbase developed a virtual patient agent that converts actual patient symptoms and response data into 3D, and launched a VR/AR-based medical simulation solution, Vurabo, based on this. Through Vurabo, new medical staff can perform training for various situations before starting actual patient treatment. For example, it provides essential training contents in the medical field, such as nervous system assessment, disaster severity classification, medication simulation, and personal protective equipment attachment and detachment. Through such simulation-based training, patient safety and privacy are improved, and further, unlimited repetitive practice is possible without consuming medical resources.
