Autonomic Health

The first AI doctor powered by the nervous system

New York, NY, United States

Autonomic Health is building the first AI doctor powered by the nervous system. The autonomic nervous system manages all organs 24/7 and drifts three to five years before disease shows up in standard labs. Our patent-pending AI reads it from heart rate alone on a standard wearable, and an AI clinician diagnoses and returns a treatment plan. Five clinics are live and paying, all cash-pay. Raising a $5M seed.

Problem Statement

Every company in healthcare promises preventive, personalized, root-cause care, but medicine is built downstream: it waits for disease to show up in a lab or a scan. The autonomic nervous system is the one signal that delivers all three, because it drifts years before disease shows up, is unique to each body, and is where symptoms come from. Reading it took a $30K clinic instrument, a technician and a specialist, so in 20 years it reached only 700 clinics.

Core Technology

CAJAL, our patent-pending AI model, reads both branches of the autonomic nervous system (sympathetic and parasympathetic) from heart rate alone, so a clinical read takes 12 minutes at home on a standard wearable. An AI clinician turns the read into a diagnosis and a treatment plan, built on 21 years of clinical protocols and exclusive access to the only branch-level longitudinal ANS dataset (25 years of paired clinical data from the only FDA-cleared device). A 90-day retest tracks recovery.

Key Differentiators

- Reads both branches of the nervous system from heart rate alone; a clinical read, not an HRV score. HRV, what consumer wearables collect, is neither branch-level nor a direct measure of the ANS. - Built on the only FDA-cleared branch-level measurement of the nervous system, used on 1M+ patients across 700+ clinics since 2006. - Exclusive access to the world's only branch-level longitudinal ANS dataset (25 years of paired clinical data) from that FDA-cleared device, plus 21 years of treatment protocols: time is the moat. - Runs on the $2 heart-rate sensor already in over a billion devices: instant global scale, no new hardware. - One nervous system runs the whole body, so one product works across every specialty.

Clinical Focus

Long COVID, POTS and ME/CFS first (about 20M Americans), then women's health, cardio-metabolic disease and longevity.

Target Customers

Clinics and digital health platforms that own the patient relationship.

Clinical Validation

Built on an FDA-cleared measurement in commercial use since 2006 (1M+ patients across 700+ clinics). FDA accepted our pre-submission for the at-home AI version for substantive review in September 2026, with a meeting with the review team in November. Physicians at five clinics are diagnosing and treating patients on the platform today. Outcomes from our CMO's practice over two decades include heart failure patients recovering ejection fraction and Type 2 diabetics coming off insulin; publishing them is funded in this round.

What do you think of Autonomic Health?

A HUGE part of what early stage companies, and even late stage ones, need and get on MedStartr is honest feedback from actual patients, clinicians, hospital leaders and industry insiders. It is very easy to get tunnel vision as a founder. Please tell the team that runs this company what you think.

Clinical Benefit Potential

The potential for a project to have a large and significant impact on medical care, treatment, or prevention.

Feasibility

The likelihood that this will provide benefit for patients / care givers and that the founders can execute on their vision and plan.

Innovativeness

The distinguishing features, concept, or technology that differentiates the entry compared to others that already exist and are in widespread use.

Fundability

The reviewers' beliefs that the idea is fundable or can make it to sustainability without outside investment.

Scalability

Some great ideas are destined to failure because they are too complex or too expensive. The reviewer should consider the likelihood that a project as explained, or perhaps with some tweaks, could possibly become a worldwide solution within a reasonable time frame.

Presentation Quality

How well the team presented the idea.
