Dr. Nina Vasan is a physician, entrepreneur, and co-author of the #1 Amazon Best Seller “Do Good Well: Your Guide to Leadership, Action, and Social Innovation” which was praised by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus as "the primer for social innovation" and has been used by colleges and business schools in 7 countries. Nina grew up in West Virginia and studied Government at Harvard, graduating as one of Glamour Magazine's Top 10 College Women. Her experience includes serving as Co-Leader of Battleground State Outreach for Barack Obama’s Health Policy Advisory Committee during the 2008 Presidential Election and working at the World Health Organization in Geneva in the Office of Director-General Dr. Margaret Chan. rnrnNina received an MD from Harvard Medical School, where she was chosen by her classmates to serve as a student commencement speaker. Compelled by her own personal struggles, she is now working to apply the methods of social innovation and entrepreneurship to mental health as a Resident Physician in Psychiatry at Stanford and as the Founder and Chair of the Psychiatry Innovation Lab. Named a "40 Under 40 Healthcare Innovator" by MedTech Boston, Nina aims to develop systems, technologies, and policies that optimize opportunities and mental health for communities.
