About
I am a communications professional in New Orleans, currently the marketing communications manager at the New Orleans Business Alliance. I have six years of experience in multimedia journalism, most recently as a sports writer and video host at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune from 2012 to 2015. I began a career transition to public relations by volunteering with the American Heart Association's communications departments in Houston and New Orleans on the Paul "Bear" Bryant Awards, New Orleans Heart Ball, and an Instagram partnership with PJ's Coffee promoting the New Orleans Heart Walk.
I completed my undergraduate degree in journalism from LSU's Manship School of Mass Communication in May 2011. I then began my career as a sports multimedia journalist at the Lake Charles American Press, covering high school sports in Southwest Louisiana and launching two sports video series for americanpress.com. From January 2008 until graduation, I worked in the sports department of LSU's campus newspaper, The Daily Reveille, and advanced to chief sports writer as a junior and senior. My previous summer internship experiences are The Times-Picayune (2010) and The Courier/Daily Comet in Houma/Thibodaux, La. (2009).
