William Hersh, MD, FACMI is Professor and Chair of the Department of Medical Informatics & Clinical Epidemiology at Oregon Health & Science University. He is a leader and innovator in biomedical informatics both in education and research. In education, he is Director of OHSU’s Biomedical Informatics Graduate Program and is known for innovations in distance learning. His research contributions have been in information retrieval and informatics workforce development.
