So we finally got Ron and Avisha in the same room to duke it out on this whole "AI replacing doctors" thing. These two have been going back and forth about this for years!
Ron (the doctor who wrote that book "AI Doctor") is convinced human physicians aren't going anywhere, while Avisha (the @DistilledScience guy with all those followers) thinks AI is getting too good, too fast for doctors to compete.
Steve Wardell hosted this throwdown at our April 1st meetup in what turned out to be our 1,268th event (yeah, we've been busy). The whole thing started as friendly banter between MedStartr folks but turned into this actual debate.
