Canopie

Canopie

Falls Church, Virginia, United States

Our goal is to make effective, prevention-based mental health care convenient, engaging, and accessible in the US and across the globe. (http://canopie.app) With a uniquely proactive approach, we equip expecting and new moms with knowledge, coping tools, and emotional confidence to face the inevitable ups, downs, and sideways turns of motherhood. We worked with over 50 industry-renowned psychologists and maternal wellness experts to develop curricula that tackle the very top factors that contribute to stress, anxiety, and mood disorders from pregnancy to postpartum and beyond. Moms engage with a proprietary blend of cognitive-based, interpersonal, and compassionate therapies targeted to their personal goals in the app for 12 minutes a day for 12 days. We are proud to report that 100% of our moms experience a boost in their mood and enhanced outlook on life and 79% of moms with an existing mental health diagnosis experience a clinically-significant elevation in mood. Our small team is passionate about one thing: growing better moms. Canopie is the American Academy of Pediatrics's #1 maternal mental health app for moms and already being used by countless employers, payors, and health plans to elevate the emotional and mental well-being of their moms, reduce healthcare costs, and help mitigate the maternal mental health crisis.

What do you think of Canopie?

A HUGE part of what early stage companies, and even late stage ones, need and get on MedStartr is honest feedback from actual patients, clinicians, hospital leaders and industry insiders. It is very easy to get tunnel vision as a founder. Please tell the team that runs this company what you think.

Clinical Benefit Potential

The potential for a project to have a large and significant impact on medical care, treatment, or prevention.

Feasibility

The likelihood that this will provide benefit for patients / care givers and that the founders can execute on their vision and plan.

Innovativeness

The distinguishing features, concept, or technology that differentiates the entry compared to others that already exist and are in widespread use.

Fundability

The reviewers' beliefs that the idea is fundable or can make it to sustainability without outside investment.

Scalability

Some great ideas are destined to failure because they are too complex or too expensive. The reviewer should consider the likelihood that a project as explained, or perhaps with some tweaks, could possibly become a worldwide solution within a reasonable time frame.

Presentation Quality

How well the team presented the idea.
