We are developing a fully autonomous artificial pancreas system based on a magnetic membrane-based heterologous hormone pump and an AI-based hormone injection decision algorithm. Our goal is to provide an AI-based autonomous and personalized therapeutic artificial pancreas system to diabetic patients who have difficulty in self-glycemic control. Curestream aims to commercialize a biomimetic learning-based autonomous treatment artificial pancreas system. We develop a hormone pump in a miniaturized form compared to existing products by efficiently moving fluids using a thin film of magnetic material. We secure a price-competitive pump design with a modular structure consisting of a power unit that generates a magnetic field and a disposable injection unit that delivers the drug. We develop an AI pancreas that mimics the blood sugar control function of the pancreas by applying pharmacology and physiology concepts to reinforcement learning, an AI that optimizes behavior.
