Every heartbeat, every step, every breath, every facial expression, or the pronunciation of a syllable are the building blocks of our lives. They crystallize our physiological state, our physical capabilities, our interactions, and our psychological and social state. Measurements taken in a hospital, an analysis laboratory, or a doctor's office are limited and biased samples of these building blocks. At the same time, some of these measurements are invasive, technically demanding, or uncomfortable to perform continuously in the patient's actual daily environment. In our daily lives, we use devices such as mobile phones or smartwatches. These devices can collect data continuously. This data is an objective reflection of our physiological and psychological state in our real daily environment. Recent technological developments make it possible to convert this data into digital biomarkers. Biomarkers represent the main objective physiological and behavioral characteristics specific to a disease or bioclinical abnormality. Digital biomarkers are their digital signatures. DTECTIO is developing a digital biomarker platform. Powered by our artificial intelligence, this platform uses everyday connected devices to continuously and non-invasively collect patient data from their daily lives and convert it into digital biomarkers. It can then, at affordable costs, (I) detect early certain pathologies and bioclinical abnormalities that develop silently but could lead to serious health problems, (II) monitor disease progression, and (III) measure the effectiveness of treatments for these diseases. DTECTIO aims to democratize access to preventive and personalized medicine.
