Juvoly was founded by software developer Thomas Kluiters and practicing general practitioner Maarten Timmers. The idea came when Thomas' girlfriend suggested, "what if I don't have to type so much anymore and can focus more on the patient?" Soon a collaboration emerged between Maarten and Thomas to show the front line the magic of AI.
