n.cer develops a solution for early diagnosis of dementia by observing changes in blood flow in the frontal lobe in response to certain olfactory smells. Research has continued to suggest that olfactory function is associated with symptoms of dementia, but this has been difficult to identify with data. n.cer uses an in-house developed handheld measuring instrument that attaches sensors to the forehead and observes brain changes directly by fNIRS (near infrared spectroscopy).
