NUTES (Telehealth Center of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Federal University of Pernambuco) is the Digital Health unit of HC/UFPE, operating since 2003 in teaching, research and development of projects and actions focused on the application of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the health field. It is recognized as the first e-health project implemented in a public teaching hospital in Brazil. NUTES promotes innovation in telehealth, focusing on teleconsultation, telediagnosis, telemonitoring, teleradiology, telecardiology, telepsychiatry, telesurgery and the use of mobile devices in patient care. It also works in the training of professionals through specialization courses in Digital Health and collaborates with national and international institutions.
