Orpheus Medical provides clinical video and imaging documentation solutions that help healthcare providers improve quality of care and patient outcomes by focusing on care coordination and collaboration. Orpheus captures and live-streams clinical video and images from scope cameras used in general surgery, urology, gynecology, neurosurgery, and gastro operations and procedures. Orpheus provides central video archiving as well as real-time video streaming of live medical procedures from the operating room to external locations. Orpheus provides integration to the hospital's electronic medical record (EMR) system for easy access to past procedures. The system uses the existing hospital infrastructure and can be fully integrated with its information system and workflows with DICOM and HL7. Video and picture contents can be viewed from a dedicated app, over the web, or from the hospital's PACS and EMR systems. While providing online processing tools for captured images and videos, Orpheus also supports post-processing editing tools and report capabilities, allowing physicians to better interact with their patients and collaborate with colleagues. In February 2020, Orpheus Medical was acquired by Intuitive Surgical and became a wholly owned subsidiary of Intuitive.
