Stress, anxiety, depression and other mental health issues can be challenging to talk about with others, especially when it is not in your first language. That’s why we are launching PsyMood, a digital tool designed to help you find the support you need in the language that you are most comfortable with. We’ve not only considered the importance of communicating in the first language, but also cultural background, geographical location, interests and personal needs, amongst other factors that will be used by our matchmaking algorithm to pair users with service providers for either online or in-person therapy sessions. Developed in Toronto with the support of incubators and start-up accelerators such as Accelerator Centre, Parkdale Centre for Innovation and LatAm Startups, our initiative has the support of multiple mental health care professionals from all around the world. We are already organizing panels of specialists talking about wellbeing and mental health. Psymood, mental-health support in your first language, whenever and wherever you need it.
