Problem Statement
Companies are investing heavily in AI, but they cannot reliably tell whether those AI deployments are continuing to produce the business value they were supposed to produce as the organization changes.
Core Technology
The key technology is our continuous measurement and measurement-integrity engine. When something changes — such as a workflow, model, responsible team, policy, or decision authority — METRIS determines which existing measurements can still be trusted, which may have become outdated, and what needs to be measured again. This allows organizations to maintain a current evidence base rather than repeatedly starting assessments from scratch.
Key Differentiators
The core differentiator of METRIS is that it does not just monitor the AI system itself. It measures the broader operating system around an AI use case — the technology, people, workflows, organizational conditions, and business outcomes — to understand whether the AI investment is actually producing the value it was intended to produce. This is the distinction from traditional AI monitoring tools that primarily monitor models and technical performance.
Target Customers
We are initially targeting mid-market organizations that have already deployed AI into real business workflows and need to understand whether those investments are delivering the expected business value. Healthcare is an important initial market for us because of my background in healthcare, health insurance, life sciences, and clinical research. Within healthcare, we are exploring health plans, health systems, and other healthcare organizations adopting AI, while keeping the platform applicable across industries.
