TheraPee developed a treatment for bedwetting based on Dr. Jacob Sagie's multi-modality face-to-face treatment for bedwetting. The model is tailor-made for the patient and encompasses behavioral therapy for enuresis, including a bedside enuresis alarm called STOPEE. The model also encompasses short and mid-term positive reinforcements, measurements of reflex and awakening response, and daily training to increase bladder capacity and strengthen sphincter muscles. In some cases, the model utilizes other therapeutic techniques such as forced intake and handling regression. STOPEE consists of a control unit (bedwetting alarm) and a sensor pad, which is placed underneath the sheet. The bedwetting alarm is placed next to the bed and connected with a thin cable to the pad. In the case of a nighttime accident, the alarm is activated at the first hint of wetness and notifies the parents. The system also includes a virtual chart, where parents supply information regarding treatment. The system analyzes the provided data, and an algorithm chooses the correct response, which is then given to the patient via a video clip by a virtual therapist (a real bedwetting specialist).
